Arsenal Insurance and VUSO Pay Out UAH 118 Million for Damage to Business Centers from Strikes on Kyiv
Arsenal Insurance and VUSO have completed the settlement of several war-risk insurance claims related to damage to commercial real estate in Kyiv caused by Russian attacks.
The attacks on Kyiv that damaged the insured properties took place on November 14 and December 27, 2025. Both attacks involved a combination of attack drones and missiles. As a result of the strikes and blast waves, three business centers in the capital, belonging to the same network, sustained damage.
Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the strikes on the buildings.
On the night of November 14, two insured properties belonging to the client were damaged — UAH 100 million was paid out for these strikes. A further UAH 18 million was paid for the third property, which was struck in December.
On April 7, the client received a payout of UAH 18 million, and on May 1, a further UAH 100 million.
As a result, the total payout to the client came to UAH 118 million.
The properties were insured jointly by Arsenal Insurance and VUSO under a co-insurance arrangement, with each insurer covering a 50% share of the risk.
Andriy Koval, Director of the Claims Settlement Department, noted that "settling claims of this kind is an extremely complex and painstaking process." Assessing the damage involves inspecting load-bearing structures and hundreds of other elements of the building.
It is worth noting that these are not the first war-risk payouts to this client: in 2025, the companies had already made two other payouts for damage to properties within the same network, totaling UAH 24 million. In total, the client has now received 4 war-risk payouts amounting to UAH 142 million.
