Arsenal Insurance Pays Out Over UAH 10 Million Following Flooding of a Solar Power Plant in Mykolaiv Region
Arsenal Insurance has settled a major insurance claim and made a payout of over UAH 10 million under a property insurance agreement.
The insured event occurred on February 21, 2026, at a photovoltaic power plant in Mykolaiv region. Flooding from the Bulboka River caused damage to the station's equipment.
Following the flooding, part of the equipment shut down in an emergency as its protection systems were triggered. A technical inspection revealed damage to inverters and a cable line, which affected the plant's operation.
The facility, with a capacity of 9.9 MW, is classified as energy infrastructure. Restoring such facilities requires complex technical expertise, a detailed assessment of the equipment's condition, and significant costs.
The company noted that solar power plants are complex technological facilities where "localized damage can affect the operation of the entire system." Its specialists have experience settling major claims at solar energy facilities, including those involving war risks.
Following the settlement of the claim, the company made an insurance payout of over UAH 10 million.
