Arsenal Insurance Pays 10M UAH for Solar Plant Damage from Drone Attack
Throughout November, Russian drones attacked a solar power plant in Chernihiv region several times. The facility was covered by Arsenal Insurance — the plant was insured against both standard property risks and war risks. The insured sum under the policy was 10 million UAH.
What damage was recorded
Drone strikes and shrapnel damaged key elements of the plant's infrastructure: photovoltaic modules, load-bearing metal structures, fencing, and transformer substations. The attack continued for several days, with each new strike adding to the scope of the damage assessment.
Full insured sum paid out
The payout was made on December 19, 2025. The payment came to 10 million UAH — meaning the client received compensation for the full insured sum.
From the first strike to the full transfer of funds to the policyholder's account, just over 30 days passed.
